Kelley Covington

Dr. Kelley Covington Wood serves as research and education manager for Select Medical’s innovative ReVital Cancer Rehabilitation Program. In this role, she co-develops and manages all ongoing research projects and contributes to clinical development initiatives with a focus on translational research, including the implementation and effectiveness of models of follow up care in oncology, cancer rehabilitation and exercise oncology.

As a certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist and Cancer Exercise Trainer, Dr. Kelley Covington Wood has worked to support individuals with cancer and other chronic health conditions in various community-based and academic clinical settings. In 2017, she co-founded the Fitness Therapy (Fit) for Cancer Program, an ongoing community-based exercise program for cancer survivors at Colorado State University. 

Dr. Kelley Covington Wood was trained in exercise physiology at Appalachian State University and Colorado State University, and completed her Ph.D. in Occupation and Rehabilitation Science in 2021. She is published in the fields of cancer rehabilitation and exercise oncology:
