According to the National Cancer Institute, an estimated 10,000 children (ages 0 to 14 years) and over 85,000 adolescents and young adults (AYA – ages 15 to 39) will be diagnosed with cancer in the United States each year. Advances in treatment and supportive care have contributed to growing numbers of survivorship for this specialized age group. Of those survivors, over 60% will suffer adverse physical, psychosocial or behavioral outcomes months or even years after completion of treatment.

Join us for the next session of ReVital Grand Rounds as we welcome Dr. Larissa Nekhlyudov, Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and primary care physician at Brigham & Women's Hospital, for a discussion on rehabilitation needs and opportunities for AYA survivors. Don't miss this opportunity to learn more about the needs of cancer survivors and how we can make a difference.

In this session, Dr. Nekhlyudov, will:

  • Provide an overview of AYA survivorship principles.
  • Describe rehabilitation needs of AYA cancer survivors.
  • Explore opportunities for rehabilitation in AYA survivorship care.
