Rose's Story

“I’m thankful that I did cancer rehabilitation before surgery because now I can see that I’m not as behind as I thought I was going to be.” – Rose, ReVital patient

Rose was diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2020, and underwent a bilateral mastectomy, and later, breast reconstruction surgery. Luckily for Rose, she was referred to her ReVital certified physical therapist prior to her surgeries for what we call “Prehab”. This rehabilitation process, started prior to cancer treatment, can significantly decrease a patient’s recovery time following treatment.

Now, Rose advocates for all patients facing a similar experience to seek out cancer rehabilitation prior to and following any cancer treatment.

Rose was diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2020, and underwent a bi-lateral mastectomy, and later, breast reconstruction surgery. Rose was referred to a ReVital physical therapist prior to her surgeries and strongly believes that anyone facing a similar experience would benefit from seeing a cancer rehabilitation therapist prior to treatment, to help them though their journey.
